Privacy and your data
This module is run by the University of Arizona College of Education. This page explains what it records about you, who else can see it, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we record
- Your profile — name, email address, and the school or institution you tell us about during sign-up.
- Your work in the module — the written reflections you type, your quiz answers and scores, and which videos and resources you have completed.
- Your certificate — the date you finished, your final score, and a certificate identifier.
Please do not put names or identifying details about a student into your reflections. Reflection boxes are for your own thinking about practice, and this module is not a place to record information about an individual child.
Who else sees it
Your work is visible to you and to College of Education staff who administer the module. It is not shared with your school or district unless you ask us to share it. Running the module also depends on four service providers:
| Provider | Role | What it can see |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Sign-in and accounts | Your name, email address, and when you sign in. |
| Neon | Database | Everything you enter — profile, reflections, quiz answers, progress, certificate. |
| Vercel | Hosting and file storage | Every request you make to the module, and your certificate PDF. |
| Vimeo | Video playback | Your IP address and viewing activity each time a video plays. |
How long we keep it
We keep two different things for two different lengths of time.
- Your submissions are deleted after two years. That covers your written reflections and your individual quiz answers. They serve their purpose while you are learning and do not need to be kept afterwards.
- Your record of completion is kept indefinitely. That is your name, email, school or institution, the date you finished, your score, and your certificate identifier. This module supports a state training requirement, so we may be asked years later to confirm that you completed it.
Your rights
You can ask to see everything we hold about you, to have something corrected if it is wrong, or to have your record removed. We will respond within 45 days.
One limit worth knowing before you ask: if you have earned a certificate, we may need to keep the minimum record proving you completed the training even if you ask for deletion. We will tell you if that applies and exactly what is being kept.
